What happened to the URL on file for Cursor Directory?

URL unreachable The URL on file (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thephotocode.photocode&utm_source=toolify) did not respond across three consecutive checks; the streak completed on 2026-08-31.

This reports what that URL did, not a claim that Cursor Directory itself is gone: the address on file does not confidently match Cursor Directory's own domain, so if it turns out to be a marketplace or listing page rather than Cursor Directory's own site, this observation is still accurate about the URL, just not about the product. See the methodology for how the match is made.

The vendor's own description, unedited:
Cursor Directory is a platform for Cursor enthusiasts to explore and generate rules, browse MCP servers, post and follow the latest news, learn, connect, and discover jobs. It enhances the Cursor experience with custom rules and provides a community for users.

How this was decided

Not an editorial call. The URL on file failed three consecutive checks, with a confirmation re-probe before the streak counted (a bot-wall response never counts as one), and the 3-miss rule marks the listing discontinued automatically. If the URL responds again, the registry restores it on its own: warn first, then active. Both directions are recorded as events.
