What it looks like

How it's earned
- Your listing's vendor page, repo, or endpoint is checked automatically. No paperwork, no self-attestation.
- A pass stamps a verification timestamp; three consecutive failures mark the listing discontinued (the 3-miss rule).
- Observed pricing changes become timestamped, reviewable events, so your price history becomes public record.
- Revival is automatic: a discontinued listing that passes again returns on its own.
There is no application, no review board, and no fast track. The checks run; the badge follows the checks.
Why it can't be bought
A badge you can pay for is an ad. The verified badge is a machine observation, and selling it would break the only thing it's worth. This is a binding product decision: the commercial ladder sells placement and media, and every paid tier explicitly excludes the badge. Dead tools are refused from paid tiers outright, refundably.
