Osmo combines the power of cutting-edge AI with olfactory science to materialize what was once thought impossible - giving a sense of smell to computers. As a revolutionary platform, Osmo strives to digitize the sense of smell, a domain that was largely untouched in the digitization era. Osmo functions on the principle of reading, mapping, and writing process; akin to how cameras process light and microphones process sound, the platform aims to turn odor molecules into digital signals. These signals are then mapped to understand how specific molecules are perceived as distinct scents. Lastly, a writing process reverts these digital signals back to actual scents, much like how printers and speakers project images and sounds. Osmo started its journey by developing the first global map of odor, currently working towards writing scents from this map into fragrance ingredients. The end goal lies in capturing a scent and reproducing it end-to-end, an accomplishment they call an 'Osmograph'.
